The trio of Steve Serio, Brian Bell and Chris Okon combined for 42 of Team USA's 54 points as they took down Germany 54-50 in second round action at the BT Paralympic World Cup in Manchester, England.

The team led by as many as eight points in the first half with the big three scoring 26 of their 30 first half points. Germany's late run cut the U.S. lead to three at intermission.  The Americans extended their lead to 12 in the third as they held Germany to just five points in the quarter.

In the fourth the U.S. extended their lead to as many as 16 when it appeared they would pull away.  But with the starters on the bench and then two costly turnovers from Chris Okon the Germans cut the lead to two with just over a minute to go.

Serio hit three free throws in the game's final minute to seal the win.  Serio (18 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists) was two assists shy of a triple double. Bell and Okon added 12 points each.

The team returns to action tonight against Australia.
