Australia takes down Team USA 70-58PDFPrintE-mail

Bill Latham scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Australia to a 70-58 victory over Team USA at the BT Paralympic World Cup in Manchester, England.

Tristin Knowles added 15 for the Aussies.  Nite Hinze led Team USA with 20 points.  Steve Serio and Brian Bell added 10 each for the Americans.

Australia led by as many as 18 in the second half and were never seriously challenged.  They shot a blistering 57% from the floor and outrebounded Team USA by 11.  Team USA enters the semi-final round as the #2 seed and will face Germany on Friday afternoon.
