U.S. advances to Gold Medal Game

Brian Bell scored 21 points and Steve Serio added 14 points and seven assists as Team USA defeated Germany 67 to 50 in semi-final round action at the BT Paralympic World Cup in Manchester, England.

Andre Bienek led Germany with 13 points.

The teams were locked in a tight contest after one period (15-14) but the Americans eight point run to start the second quarter blew the game open. The U.S. outrebounded the Germans 38-31 while shooting 50 percent from the floor.

Nate Hinze had his second strong showing off the bench with 12 points and eight rebounds in 18 minutes of play. The team will face Australia on Saturday afternoon for the tournament championship.
